Guidelines for creating a new ticket
When creating a new defect ticket make sure you're addressing the following instructions:
- You have a relevant summary field completed
- You have a relevant description form completed (e.g. clear steps to reproduce, OS/architecture you're using, no single line! etc)
- You selected which version of OpenSAF you are using
- Assign to *only* if you know what you're doing (e.g. assigning a ticket to yourself or a peer)
- Select the component you're having issue with, in doubt leave the default
- Leave the milestone field empty if in doubt (e.g. you know you're not gonna be working on this ticket)
When creating a new enhancement ticket make sure you're addressing the following instructions:
- You have a relevant summary field completed
- You have a relevant description form completed (e.g. new feature you would like, cleanups to be done etc)
- Select the version after which you would like to see the feature integrated
- Assign to *only* if you know what you're doing (e.g. assigning a ticket to yourself or a peer)
- Select the affected component, if in doubt leave deafault
- Leave the milestone field empty
